Get ready, Fall Portraits are coming soon! Lot Five Studios is excited to return to Garden Oaks Montessori for School Picture Days--with a few changes, of course! We bring out your child's true smile in our modern school portraits.

2020 Proofs are Ready to View!

Garden Oaks Montessori Fall 2020 Portraits are now available on our order site. To access your student's portrait gallery, please enter your online code as described below.

PASSCODE

Use the first FOUR LETTERS OF LAST NAME, followed by the first FOUR LETTERS OF FIRST NAME, and the code "F20." For example, Jonathan Anderson would be "AndeJonaF20" and so on.

Please use the student's name as registered at the school; no nicknames or middle names. If the name is shorter than four letters, please enter all characters. If the student has two last names, please use the first last name in the passcode. For example, "Sarah Garcia-Jones" would have the passcode "GarcSaraF20" and so on.

We have tried our best to ensure all online codes are unique, however, there are students with very similar names. Should you have any trouble accessing our child's gallery, please contact us immediately. Please enter this password and your email to log in to the gallery.

MISSING STUDENT IMAGES

If you have logged in to your gallery but find an error message stating that "your gallery is unavailable" this is because we have not yet photographed your child and have NO images in our system for them.

A large majority of students were Virtual Learners on picture day, and did not come to get photographed. Never fear! We are working with your school to schedule additional retake days so we may photograph as many students as possible.

Orders received AFTER FRIDAY, JANUARY 8th will ship to you directly, and additional shipping fees will apply. For FREE SHIPPING on orders totaling more than $28, please use the code "GOMMfall20" at checkout.

RETAKES ARE MARCH 2nd - 4th

If your child missed having his or her fall photo taken or you were unhappy with the results, please sign up for retakes happening on the GOMM campus on MARCH 2ND - 4TH (in conjunction with Spring Pictures). Virtual Students will sign up via a forthcoming link that the school will post.

Let us know what we can do to make your child's photo better by filling out this form here with all the details we need to know to make your retake a success. Please let your student know WHEN they will be photographed, and ask them to try to stay clean, neat and smiling for photos.

SPRING INDIVIDUAL & CLASS PICTURES

Although we are on the GOMM calendar for Spring individual and Class/Group pictures, the current COVID-19 situation across Houston may require us to amend these shoots. We anticipate that Class/group pictures will be quite different from last year, or may have to be postponed or altogether cancelled as logistics required by social distancing will have to be reevaluated. We will keep you posted on what we work out with your school.

How Does Picture Day Work This Year?

As you know, the pandemic has created many challenges with children in schools, and school photography is no exception. We at Lot Five Studios are making every effort in keeping your student (as well as ourselves) safe!

Garden Oaks Montessori students will be photographed outdoors and socially distanced during Fall Picture Days. We adhere to a strict protocol when photographing your child and are taking every precaution to protect the health and safety of the students and staff during their portrait times.

All photographers and staff will be masked and the use of sanitizing products such as hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be utilized. All classes who are not in a learning pod will remain separated.

Photographing In-Person Students vs. Virtual Learners

Lot Five Studios will be on-campus to photograph both in-person and virtual attendees on October 27-29. If your student is back to school face-to-face on campus, please read the Picture Day Schedule below to see what day your child will be photographed. Schedules are by teacher names. Please wear school-appropriate free dress; and also, please scroll down below for additional information on school pictures.

By Appointment for Virtual Learners

If your student is a Virtual Learner this year, no problem! We are now offering sign ups for Virtual Learners between the hours of 12pm to 3pm on Oct 27-29th. You can come to campus at your leisure, but please sign up so we now to expect you. All Virtual students must arrive at the bus loading area at the back of the school (Wakefield side), park and walk to the covered pavilion (or cafeteria) to get photographed. Photos will take approximately 5-10 minutes.

VIRTUAL STUDENT SIGN-UP

If your student is going to school in-person (meaning to the actual campus), please DO NOT sign up for the Virtual Student sign-up. Thank you.

So here's the drill...please take note of the following:

For Your Safety

2020 has been a crazy time for all of us. Please know that when we photograph your child, we adhere to safety standards which include socially-distanced photography between the subject and photographer, removing of student's mask for less than 5 minutes while far away from others, and an abundance of hand sanitizer in between. Additionally, all Lot Five Studios employees are masked at all times when working with your student.

Our Covid-19 Policy

Hair & Grooming

Back before Covid, we did our best to clean the faces of little ones, and ask the big ones how their hair is supposed to look. Now we do touch-free grooming which is basically helping your child groom themselves for their photos. Please prompt your child on what to do with their hair when they're in front of our camera.

For long-haired girls, we suggest wearing hair down, as ponytails and braids do not photograph as well as loose hair, and tend to get messy throughout the day. Please be aware that curls do not normally stay all day, especially when your child's picture time is at the end of the day. Hair bows and accessories should be small in size as to not distract from your student's face.

Head Shots in FREE DRESS!

Fall Portraits are head shots for students and staff on a grey backdrop! The look is clean and modern, and put the focus on your child and not the background.

All Garden Oaks Montessori students will be photographed in school-appropriate Free-Dress. Please make sure your student is well-groomed and camera ready, we'll take care of the rest!!

Proofing Online

About 3 weeks after Picture Day, your child's Fall Portraits will be uploaded to our website in a password-protected gallery for viewing and ordering.

Proofing information will be sent through the school, but our Newsletter Subscribers will get notified first!

Class Pictures - POSTPONED

Group/Class photos will take place separately from individual portraits at a date to be determined later. Due to social distancing concerns during this pandemic, please be aware that a total cancellation may also occur. We will keep you posted.

Make Ups and Retakes

At Lot Five Studios, your satisfaction is always our goal. If your child missed their picture day, or you'd like to get a retake for any reason, your students can come back when we are on campus--DATE TO BE DETERMINED.

Please make sure to let your child's teacher know that they need a make up or retake photo, and send us a retake request by clicking the above photo to tell us how we can do better and improve upon your child's photo.

RETAKE SIGN UP

How It Works

1. We photograph your child on their scheduled Fall Portrait Day (scroll to see schedule below).

2. If they were absent, please send them to the gym in a school appropriate free-dress or uniform any day we are on campus (10/27-10/29) and we will photograph them.

3. Give us about 3-4 weeks to process the images and get them ready for viewing.

4. When the images are uploaded and ready to go, we will send information to the school letting you know how to access your child's gallery with ordering instructions. If you are a newsletter subscriber, you get to know before everyone else does (perks, yay!).

5. Place an order by the deadline date to have your order delivered to the school for free. On-time orders will be distributed through the teachers.

6. If you missed the deadline, don't worry--your images will still be available for purchase, however you will have to pay a shipping fee and your order will be sent directly to you.

2020 Fall Portrait Day Schedule for In-Person and Virtual Students

A Few Final Notes:

RETAKES will be offered for Fall Portraits on a date yet to be determined. If your child has already been photographed, the new image will be uploaded in to the same gallery as their original photos within 3 weeks of the retake date. Your retake order may may incur additional shipping fees.

Ordering Online. It's our thing. There will be cut-off date for orders to be delivered free to the school, so please keep your eyes peeled for deadlines. After the deadline, you can still order, but you will have to pay a shipping fee, and we don't offer as many cool packages or products as the ones we deliver to the school. Please expect up to 6 weeks after deadline for order delivery.

Your Kid is a Star. We'd Love to use Your Child's Photo! At Lot Five Studios, we are always looking for smiling students to use as our models. If you are interested in allowing your child's school photo to serve as one of the faces for our school-specific marketing pieces, please make sure to read the info at the end of your online order before checkout. If you do not wish for your child's image to be used, please read the info and let us know. Don't worry, we never use any identifying information about your children--just their awesome image.

Family Portraits, Headshots and Other Good Stuff.
