Frank Black Middle School Fall 2019 Portraits are now available for ordering online. Please read the details below to find out more about portraits.

PASSCODE

To access your student's portrait gallery, please enter your online code, which is your student's HISD Student ID followed by the code "F19." For example, student ID 1234567 would be "1234567F19" and so on. Please enter this password and your email to log in to the gallery. Please use correct emails, as they will be used to send you order receipts and downloads.

NOTE: Students should be familiar with their student identification number issued by the school. Please ask your child, or contact us immediately to get the student ID. Should you have any trouble accessing our child's gallery, please contact us immediately.

Proofing With Lot Five Studios - What To Expect

New to Lot Five Studios? New to Frank Black Middle School? Not to worry! Here's the low-down on Fall Student Portraits and our Proofing Program for your middle schooler:

Headshots on a Neutral Backdrop

Fall Portraits are head shots for students and staff on a grey backdrop! The look is clean and modern, and put the focus on the student and not the background.

All FBMS students will be photographed in school uniform--collared polo-style shirt in red (6th), gray (7th) or black (8th) is recommended as it photographs best. Please make sure your student is well-groomed and camera ready, we'll take care of the rest!!

Hair & Grooming

We make it a point to help fine-tune hair (smoothing fly-aways, making hair look just right) before taking their picture, so please have your student bring any hair grooming implements they need for final touches before they're in front of our camera.

For long-haired girls, we suggest wearing hair down, as ponytails and braids do not photograph as well as loose hair, and tend to get messy throughout the day. Hair bows and accessories should be smaller in size as to not distract from your student's face.

Remind them to brush their teeth, too!

About 3 - 4 weeks after Picture Day, your student's Fall Portraits will be uploaded to our website in a password-protected gallery for viewing and ordering.

Proofing information will be sent through the school, but our Newsletter Subscribers will get notified first!

Make Ups and Retakes

At Lot Five Studios, your satisfaction is always our goal. If your child missed their picture day, or you'd like to get a retake for any reason, your students can come back any day we are on campus--future date to be determined.

Please make sure to remind your student if they need to make up or retake their photo, and send us a retake request by clicking the above photo to tell us how we can do better.

Everything You Need to Know About Fall Portraits

1. We photograph your child on their Fall Portrait Day during their Math class.

2. Give us about 3-4 weeks to process the images and get them ready for viewing.

3. When the images are uploaded and ready to go, we will send an information flyer to the school, telling parents how to access their child's gallery with ordering instructions. We will also post on the Remind App. If you are a newsletter subscriber, you get to know before everyone else does (perks, yay!).

4. Place an order by the deadline date to have your order delivered to the school for free. On-time orders will be distributed through the teachers.

5. If you missed the deadline, don't worry--your images will still be available for purchase, however you will have to pay a shipping fee and your order will be sent directly to you.

A Few Final Notes:

RETAKES will be offered for Fall Portraits at a later date. To receive notices regarding fall pictures and retakes, sign up for the FBMS School Picture Newsletter below! If your child has already been photographed, the new image will be uploaded in to the same gallery as their original photos within 3 weeks of the retake date. Your retake order may may incur additional shipping fees.

Ordering Online. It's our thing. There will be cut-off date for orders to be delivered free to the school, so please keep your eyes peeled for deadlines. After the deadline, you can still order, but you will have to pay a shipping fee, and we don't offer as many cool packages or products as the ones we deliver to the school. Please expect up to 6 weeks after deadline for order delivery.

Your Kid is a Star. We'd Love to use Your Child's Photo! At Lot Five Studios, we are always looking for smiling students to use as our models. If you are interested in allowing your child's school photo to serve as one of the faces for our school-specific marketing pieces, please make sure to read the info at the end of your online order before checkout. If you do not wish for your child's image to be used, please read the info and let us know. Don't worry, we never use any identifying information about your children--just their awesome image.

Family Portraits, Headshots and Other Good Stuff. If you are in need of family portraits, corporate headshots, sports portraits, or Senior photos, please subscribe to our newsletter below or request a session! We offer quick and modern photography sessions during our "Open Studio Days" in our nearby studio, located in the Arts District off Sawyer and I-10.
