Book Your Cap and Gown Session

Full Senior Portrait Session

Approximately 1 Hour: Your appointment includes a 25-minute portrait session followed by an image viewing and ordering session.
One Outfit + Cap & Gown: Seniors are photographed in one outfit, with both standing and seated poses, plus studio-provided cap-and-gown portraits.
Choose Your Favorites: Immediately after your session, you'll view your images, select your yearbook pose, and place your portrait order with the help of a proofing specialist. Please allow up to 45 minutes for the viewing and ordering appointment.
Parents Welcome: We encourage parents to attend and help select your favorite portraits to celebrate this special milestone.

There is no session fee for your studio senior portrait appointment. Our goal is to create timeless portraits that celebrate this exciting milestone and become lasting keepsakes of your student's senior year. For signature Outdoor Sessions, there is a $100 Session Reservation Fee applied towards package selection
There is no minimum purchase requirement. You are welcome to order as much or as little as you like. Portrait packages include a designated number of poses, and the prints included in a package are assigned to those specific poses and cannot be split or transferred to other images.
Flexible payment plans are available for orders over $250. A 50% deposit is required when the order is placed. Orders will enter production once payment has been received in full.
Portrait orders are typically ready 4–6 weeks after final payment. Orders may be picked up at your school (when available) or at our Oak Forest studio. Because of the seasonal volume of senior portraits, we are unable to accommodate rush orders.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes! All sessions must be booked in advance.

What is "Yearbook Pose?"

Yearbook pose is photographed with the graduation cap on, hands not showing, in cap and gown regalia, including NHS stole if eligible.

If you want portraits made without graduation attire or additional cap and gown poses, a full Session appointment is required

How do I make an appointment?

What if I just need Cap & Gown photos?

Not a problem! Lot Five Studios is now proud to provide Cap & Gown only sessions at our studio.

Do I need to bring my own cap & gown?

Not at all! Our studio has special photography caps and gowns for your use in the studio, and any additional regalia that your school has provided for their commencement attire.

We have collars and ties for seniors that would like to wear them in their cap and gown photos.

You are welcome to bring your own collared shirt to wear under the graduation gown. Please make sure it is clean and pressed, and able to button up to the top button around your neck.

You may bring your own tie, as well, but it is not required- we have ties to choose from in the studio for your use.

I'm worried about my hair and the cap!

You're not alone! Fortunately, we have years of experience fitting seniors in caps for photos, and we will work with you to fit your graduation cap appropriately.

We recommend that seniors avoid top-knot and high ponytail styles, as they will affect the way the cap will be seated on the head.

We recommend longer hair be styled down and shorter layers styled away from the face to prevent unwanted shadows. Bangs that normally cover or obscure the eyes don't photograph as well as layers that are styled above or away from the eyes.

Hairstyles shorter than ear length will most likely be hidden by the fit of the cap.

For seniors who normally wear their hair in a patka, we recommend wearing or bringing a turban or head wrap of a more formal nature for the cap and gown photos.

Can I bring someone with me into the camera room?

At this time, only the students being photographed and Lot Five Studios staff are permitted in the camera room during sessions. If we have any questions that need parent input, we are happy to have them lean in, but ask that they remain in the studio lobby otherwise.
