Order 2023 Fall Portraits

Durham Elementary School 2023-24 Student Portraits are now available for viewing and ordering on our site. Please read below to find out more, then click the button to visit the order site.

ONLINE CODE

Use the first FOUR LETTERS OF LAST NAME, followed by the first FOUR LETTERS OF FIRST NAME, and the code "F23." For example, Jonathan Anderson would be "AndeJonaF23" and so on.

Please enter this passcode and your email to log in to the gallery. This email is where order receipts and/or digital downloads are sent.

--For names shorter than five letters, please enter ALL letters.
--Please use the student's name as registered at the school; no nicknames or middle names.
--If two last names, please use the first last name in the passcode. For example, "Sarah Garcia-Jones" would have the passcode "GarcSaraF23."
--Please enter this password and your email to log into the gallery.

ORDER DELIVERY TO SCHOOL OR SHIP TO HOME

This year you have a choice of free shipping to the school or to your home for a $6 delivery fee. Please select your preference at check-out.

Digital Download orders will be delivered immediately via email--check your spam or junk folder. For delivery, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery of physical products via the US Postal Service after the order deadline. Contact us if you need tracking information or more details.

ORDER DEADLINE

Orders are DUE NOVEMBER 27th for free delivery to school. Any orders received after this date will be auto-shipped from our lab. Product offerings change after this deadline, so please order as soon as you can!

UPDATED! RETAKES

(NEW DATES!) Retake Day is during Class Picture Days--January 30th & 31st. If your child was absent or new to the school before picture day, we will pull your student automatically to get photographed.

If you don't like your child's images and want a retake, you must sign up for retakes. Retakes will be delivered to the original galleries and new images will be labeled with "RE" for "retake" when images are processed, usually about 3 weeks after the retake date.

If you've ordered a digital download, please note that this item is sent via EMAIL immediately after completing your order. Please enter your email address correctly when logging into your student's gallery. After ordering a digital download, please CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM folder for the emailed file. Please contact us if you have any trouble.

Step-by-Step Ordering Instructions

What To Expect

So here's the drill...please take note of the following:

Headshots on a Neutral Backdrop

Fall Portraits are head shots for students and staff on a grey backdrop! The look is clean and modern, and put the focus on the student and not the background.

Students will be photographed in school uniform. Red, navy or baby blue polo shirts look best in portraits. Please make sure your student is well-groomed and camera ready, we'll take care of the rest!

Hair & Grooming

No hats, please! We make it a point to help fine-tune hair (smoothing fly-aways, fighting the effects of humidity) before taking your child's picture, so please ask them to bring any hair grooming implements they might need for final touches before they're in front of our camera.

For long-haired girls, we suggest wearing hair down, as ponytails and messy buns do not photograph as well as loose hair, and tend to get more messy throughout the day. Hair bows and accessories should be small in size as to not distract from the face. And don't forget to brush your teeth!

Make Ups and Retakes

At Lot Five Studios, your satisfaction is always our goal. If your child missed their picture day, or you'd like them to get a retake for any reason, please sign up for Retake Day on--January 18 and 19.

Please send us a retake request by clicking the button below. This will ensure that your child will get pulled from class, and it will also let us know how we can do better and improve your Yearbook photo.

Online Proofing

About 3 weeks after Picture Day, your child's Fall Portraits will be uploaded to our website in a password-protected gallery for viewing and ordering.

Proofing information will be sent through the school, but our Newsletter Subscribers will get notified first!

How It Works

1. We photographed students on Fall Picture Days--10/11-10/12.

2. Give us about 2-4 weeks to process the images and get them ready for viewing.

3. When the images are uploaded and ready to go, we will send information to the school telling students and parents on how to access their student galleries, including passcodes and ordering instructions. If you are a newsletter subscriber, you get to know before everyone else does (perks, yay!).

4. UPDATED! Request a retake if you are unsatisfied with your image--Retake day is January 30th & 31st (NEW DATES!).

5. Place an order by the deadline date, please. Orders will be delivered to the school.

6. If you missed the ordering deadline, don't worry--your images will still be available for purchase; however, you will have to pay a shipping fee, and your order will be sent directly to you.

A Few Final Notes:

RETAKES will be offered for Fall Portraits on January 30 and 31. Sign up for the School Picture Newsletter below to receive notices regarding fall pictures and retakes! If you have already been photographed, the new image will be uploaded into the same gallery as your original photos within 3 weeks of the retake date. Your retake order may incur additional shipping fees.

Ordering Online. It's our thing. There will be a cut-off date for orders to be delivered free to the school, so please keep your eyes peeled for deadlines. After the deadline, you can still order, but you may have to pay a shipping fee, and we don't offer as many cool packages or products as the ones we deliver to the school. Please expect up to 4 weeks after the deadline for order delivery.

You are a Star. We'd love to use your photo! At Lot Five Studios, we always look for smiling students to use as models. If you are interested in allowing your child's school photo to serve as one of the faces for our school-specific marketing pieces, please make sure to read the info at the end of your online order before checkout. If you do not wish for your image to be used, please read the info and let us know. Don't worry, we never use any identifying information about students--just your awesome image.

Family Portraits, Headshots, and Other Good Stuff. We offer quick and modern photography sessions during our "Open Studio Days" in our nearby studio located in the Oak Forest area.
