Our Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic
At Lot Five Studios, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is of great concern for us, just as it is for you and your family. In response to the national pandemic outbreak, we are currently open by appointment only and are taking limited sessions for your needs. Please reach out to us via text or email to book your appointment, as our office hours are limited. Please be aware that masks are required to enter our place of business and to interact with us. Additionally, we will remained masked and as socially distanced as possible when we photograph you and your family.
For our school accounts, we are taking a cautious approach when photographing your students. Picture Days are now spread out over several days, sometimes even multiple days over several weeks to accommodate social distancing, as well as to help capture those students who are remaining virtual or on campus with a hybrid schedule. Please contact us if you have a specific question about your school's Picture Day. For Parents, please check your school's communications regarding Picture Day scheduling.
School Picture Day Safety Protocols
This year's school photos will be different for your child. During all of our school picture days where we are on campus, we employ the following safety protocols to help keep students safe while being photographed:
- All Lot Five Studios staff must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before the start of student photography for every student.
- Masks will be worn by all Lot Five Studios photographers and staff at all times.
- Photo shoots will be done on school campus, outdoors under a well-ventilated, covered patio area where air flow is substantial unless an alternate, safe location is otherwise specified by the school.
- Student will stand in marked areas in the photo station, and will keep their mask on until correctly positioned for photos and instructed by the photographer. Each photo station will be distanced a minimum of 10 feet from one another.
- A minimum distance of 6 feet between photographers and students is maintained while photographing the subjects in the photo station, unless quick adjustments to hair or clothing is required. Hand sanitizer will be used by staff immediately before adjusting hair or garments on student, and immediately after. No touching of student's faces or hands by photographer are allowed whatsoever.
- Student's mask should be put back on immediately after being photographed, and will not remain off a student's face for more than 5 minutes at a time.
- If student need to be seated in order to take a photo, photographer will sanitize posing stool between student use with sanitizing wipes.
Studio Session Safety Protocols
During all of our studio sessions, we employ the following safety protocols to help keep you safe while being photographed:
- All studio staff must wash their hands before entering the studio.
- Subject and photographer will start each session by using hand sanitizer to help keep the studio as sterile as possible.
- Prior to the photo session, subject's temperature will be taken with a touchless forehead scan thermometer before their session may begin. If subject's temperature is over 99.9 degrees, they must immediately leave the studio and all surfaces they touch must be sanitized. (Door handle, hallway bench, stairwell rail, etc.) Their session may be rescheduled ASAP with a negative COVID test, doctor note, or after they have been safely quarantined for 14 days and are symptom free.
- Masks must be worn by all staff and subjects while inside the building. The subject’s mask will be removed for the duration of their time in the studio while being photographed. Before subjects exit the studio, they must put their mask back on before entering the hallway area.
- A minimum distance of 6 feet is maintained while photographing the subjects, unless quick adjustments to hair or clothing is required. Hand sanitizer will be used by staff immediately before and after adjusting hair or garments on student.
- Between blocks of sessions we run the studio exhaust fan for a minimum of 15 minutes to help refresh the air in the studio.
